Properties : | White solid, specific gravity: 2.13. It deteriorates by absorbing moisture and carbon dioxide in the air. It is very corrosive after being damped and soluble in water (emits heat) alcohol and glycerin. |
Cautions during transportation: | The packing must be kept in good condition and the goods should be stored in a dry place. It should not be shipped in company with acid or substances reacting on alkali. |
How to handle with breakage and leakage of packing | Collect the material (Rubber glover must be used in operation). Then, wash the contaminated objects and spot with running water. |
How to treat in urgency : | Wash the affected skin with large volume of cold water, or also neutralize with either Boric Acid water or diluted Acetic Acid. If necessary put on some ointment. |
Method of extinguishing a fire : | Use water and sand (Avoid bodily contact with water solution of a comparatively high concentration). |
